I am a social science researcher and freelance science communicator/writer.

Work
My research interests include intergroup contact, social mobility, and urban inequality. These interests reflect my commitment to issues of poverty alleviation, climate justice, and policy reform. I also contribute research and blogs to U.S. think tanks such as the Bipartisan Policy Center. As the managing editor for the Power of Us, I write and edit articles for our weekly newsletter.My writing interests range from creative non-fiction to science communication.Check out my portfolio below.
About
I am a writer and higher education researcher based in Silicon Valley. My research evaluates student outcomes to inform decision-making and policies. I obtained my Master's degree in Research and Experimental Psychology at San Jose State University (and previously studied/conducted research at UC Irvine and New York University).I also volunteer as a case supervisor and Court-Appointed Special Advocate in the dependency court system. I work with foster youth and act as their voice in the court room.
