Work

My research interests include intergroup contact, social mobility, and urban inequality. More recently, I studied how racial demographic shifts impact people's beliefs and behaviors. I have contributed research and articles to think tanks such as the Bipartisan Policy Center, Metropolitan Futures Initative and the Progress and Poverty Institute. As the managing editor for the Power of Us, I write and edit articles for our weekly newsletter.I typically write about fashion, culture and social psychology. I am a writer and higher education researcher based in Silicon Valley. My research evaluates student outcomes to inform decision-making and policies.I also volunteer as a case supervisor and Court-Appointed Special Advocate in the dependency court system. I work with foster youth and lift up their voice in the court room.
